Thomas Campi


Thomas Campi is an award-winning Italian graphic novelist who now resides in Sydney, Australia. Thomas has been drawing comics for over 15 years, and his work has been published in Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, and Korea by publishers such as Sergio Bonelli Editore (Italy), Ediciones La Cúpula, LeLombard (France-Belgium), Dupuis (France-Belgium), Munhakdongne (Korea), amongst others. His latest graphic novel Les Larmes De Seigneur Afghan, script by the RTBF (National Belgian Television) reporter Pascale Bourgaoux and Vincent Zabus, which was published for Dupuis Editions, has just been awarded the Cognito Prize as Best Documentary Graphic Novel at the Belgium Book Fair, as well as a Ledger Award. The book has also just been nominated as Best Reporting in Comics for the Prix France Info. In May 2014 Thomas received the International Spectrum Fantastic Art 21 Gold Comic Award. His last solo exhibition was “Les Petites Gens” at the Comic Strip Center of Brussels, Belgium. He is currently working on a new graphic novel in collaboration with Vincent Zabus, which will be published in the Aire Libre Graphic Novel Collection of Dupuis Editions.
